Synopsis: Holly couldn’t live without her husband Gerry, until the day she had to. They were the kind of young couple who could finish each other’s sentences. When Gerry succumbs to a terminal illness and dies, 30-year-old Holly is set adrift, unable to pick up the pieces. But with the help of a series of letters her husband left her before he died and a little nudging from an eccentric assortment of family and friends, she learns to laugh, overcome her fears, and discover a world she never knew existed.

MY RATING: 3 Starts

MY OPINION:

So, as probably everyone knows, Holly is a girl who is married to Gerry. They were really happy and they were planning a normal “family life” (to have kids…) when they discovered that Gerry had a brain tumor.
This story is about the love between Holly and Gerry, about a proof of love.
I think that reading this book was like a roller coaster: I smiled, I cried, I almost had a heart attack and then, I cried again.
Although this is not a new released book I only read it this year. I saw the movie first a long time ago, at that time I really didn’t like to read (any kind of book), so I had not any curiosity to read this. The thing is, I didn’t love the book, probably because I already knew the story of it, but I liked it. There is a LOT of feelings here. I fell in love with Gerry and I fell in love with the love that he felt for Holly.
