Title: Blood Promise
Author: Richelle Mead
Genre: Fantasy; Paranormal; Romance; Young Adult.
Synopsis: “Rose Hathaway’s life will never be the same.
The recent attack on St. Vladimir’s Academy devastated the entire Moroi world. Many are dead. And, for the few victims carried off by Strigoi, their fates are even worse. A rare tattoo now adorns Rose’s neck, a mark that says she’s killed far too many Strigoi to count. But only one victim matters … Dimitri Belikov. Rose must now choose one of two very different paths: honoring her life’s vow to protect Lissa—her best friend and the last surviving Dragomir princess—or, dropping out of the Academy to strike out on her own and hunt down the man she loves. She’ll have to go to the ends of the earth to find Dimitri and keep the promise he begged her to make. But the question is, when the time comes, will he want to be saved?
Now, with everything at stake—and worlds away from St. Vladimir’s and her unguarded, vulnerable, and newly rebellious best friend—can Rose find the strength to destroy Dimitri? Or, will she sacrifice herself for a chance at eternal love?“
MY RATING: 5 Starts
Vampire Academy (next to The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare) is my favorite book series and that’s not a secret! The funny thing is that every single book written by this awesome author has magic in it… basically while I’m reading her books I’m inside the story, I’m there looking at the characters. So yes, I loved this book as much as I loved the other ones which means that I gave to it nothing more and nothing less than 5 stars.
I have to admit that it took me too much time to finish it but I promise that the reason was not because I was bored reading it…. the reason why it took me so much time to finish the book was ‘I was too busy to read‘… and of course because this book is kind of long.
In my opinion the worst thing about these books (the Vampire Academy books) is one little character… and that character name is Lissa. I don’t really know what I have against her (I mean, I know that I don’t like her because she’s really annoying but I’m not sure if that’s the only reason why) I just… I just don’t like her…. not even a little, not even for a second… even if she is the best friend of the main character!
As always, obviously that I’ll recommend this series to EVERYONE on this planet because it is quite great… I mean, if you watched the movie of the first book I can understand if you say to me ‘I HATE VAMPIRE ACADEMY‘… BUT, I can assure you that the movie is entirely different from the books… even if I didn’t hate the movie… of course, I didn’t love it, but I enjoyed it, I laughed a lot and I watched it 2 times… so yes, I love the books but I can’t say that I hated (or that I didn’t like) the movie!
