MY RATING: 3.5 Starts
* The author of this book sent me this paperback copy in exchange for an honest review, so don’t expect less than that, I will always give my honest opinion, like it or not *
I seriously don’t know what to say about this book… it was supposed to be my kind of book because I really like this kind of romances, and I am not saying I didn’t like it, I am saying that I am a little confused.
First of all, I need to say that Sadie IS a slut, ok ? I didn’t quite get that character, she was a little annoying for me I was always rolling my eyes because she always sounded a little confused, and I guess that was the idea… I just, I don’t know, I thought one thing when I started reading the book and it just ended the other way around which was just confising for me since the entire book was “directed” for something that didn’t happen to happen, do I sound confused ? Yes, now you get me, and I can’t even explain it to you better because I don’t really want to spoil you.
I always liked Finn and I never liked Nathan, so since this book was about a love triangle where I basically hated 2 of the “points” of the traingle and only liked one of those points… yap.
Back to Sadie, I didn’t really want to say only bad things about her, but the truth hurts sometimes I know… she was just hateful for me, I never liked her, I mean, when the book started I was REALLY excited about it because the beginning was pretty interesting, I liked the chemistry that was going on between the two characters Finn and Sadie and all of that stuff but then something went wrong, something went down and I just can’t explain but I lost interest in this relationship.
Now that I filled you with my opinion about the characters and bla bla bla, I need to talk to you about the author !
Ok, so I loved the type of writting of Jessica, I was totally “into the story” thanks to all of her description, I just think that the book was a little too big, and by that I mean that even loving BIG books, everyone loves big books and no one can lie about that, I think that it was unnecessary, the book would be great with half of the pages in my opinion, there was too much information I guess, this story could have been worked better in my opinion because Jessica writes really well and I think she’s really talented, I just think that something was missing in this story, something that I am sure she could work on.
Overall it was an enjoyable read that’s why I gave to it 3.5 Stars because I actually liked it and I was not bored while reading it, I read it quite fast which is pretty good, not one of my favorite reads but it was a great one and I don’t regret reading it, at all ! Because of that I think you should give it a try, I recommend this book to everyone who likes Adult Romances, maybe it will be your next favorite book ! It has a pretty good score on Goodreads so I really think you should give it a try and make your own opinion about this story and about the characters !
