Eleven years ago, David’s secret second family went missing. When his two lost children are finally found, he learns they suffered years of unthinkable abuse. Ready to make things right, David brings the kids home even though it could mean losing the wife he can’t imagine living without.
Keeping his life together becomes harder when the new children claim to be dark wizards. David believes they use this fantasy to cope with their trauma. Until, David’s wife admits a secret of her own—she is a dark wizard too, as is David, and all of their children.
Now, David must parent two hurting children from a dark world he doesn’t understand and keep his family from falling apart. All while dealing with the realization that everyone he loves, including himself, may be evil.

MY RATING: 4 Starts

MY OPINION:

* The publisher of this book sent me this paperback copy in exchange for an honest review, so don’t expect less than that, I will always give my honest opinion, like it or not *

I honestly knew nothing about this book when I started reading it, I mean, I knew it was a Fantasy novel, I knew it was Paranormal but I didn’t even know if it was an YA or an Adult novel, so yeah.

This book was a surprise to me, I really liked it and I am not saying that I was not expecting to like it, I just was in a reading slump for so freaking long I didn’t even know if I was going to be capable of seriously enjoying a book after all that time, but I really did, it was my first book of 2017 and I am really glad it was.

This book is about witches which is MAD because I am a sucker for witches, I love everything that could be related with this subject, with this genre and when the publisher contacted me asking which books I was interested in my list was made of books about witches and witchcraft, ok, they sent me random books of my list which means not all of the four books are actually about these amazing “creatures” BUT life still goes on and maybe one day they’ll send me some other witches related books, who knows ?!

I really liked this story, I liked the characters and the plot a lot, my favorite characters are the “mini witch nd wizard” Eve and Xavier, I really liked those 2 little magical beings. I really liked the way the author wrote this story, the way Sharon “developed” the story, the way she described everything… and I really really thing it was a light read, I finished this book in probably a total of 2 hours, it was a really fast reading.

Something that I really liked about this book was discovering the connection between the title of the book and the actual story, yes, I really like to do that in all of the books I read. The title of the book is “Destruction” and the word destruction is nothing more nothing less than a type of magic, basically you have the “good magic = white magic” an the “bad magic = black magic = destruction” so when people say “it’s easier to practice destruction other than good magic” it means by other words “it’s easier to practice black magic other than white magic”.

I really enjoyed everything about this book starting in the cover and ending in the story, I loved a lot of stuff in this book and I really think you should all give it a try, so yes, I am actually recommending you a book for the first time this year of 2017. HAVE FUN reading it and always enjoy yourselves.
