Goodreads Synopsis: Beautiful, creative, a little wild… Edie was the kind of girl who immediately caused a stir when she walked into your life. And she had dreams back then—but it didn’t take long for her to learn that things don’t always turn out the way you want them to.
Now, at thirty-three, Edie is working as a waitress, pregnant and alone. And when she becomes overwhelmed by the needs of her new baby and sinks into a bleak despair, she thinks that there’s no one to turn to…
But someone’s been watching Edie, waiting for the chance to prove once again what a perfect friend she can be. It’s no coincidence that Heather shows up on Edie’s doorstep, just when Edie needs her the most. So much has passed between them—so much envy, longing, and betrayal. And Edie’s about to learn a new lesson: those who have hurt us deeply—or who we have hurt—never let us go, not entirely…

MY RATING: 4.5 Starts

This book was something different, I wasn’t expecting it to be like it actually was but I guess I was not expecting anything for this one, I just grabbed it from my shelf and started reading it knowing that it is a thriller, actually a psychological thriller that is my favorite type of thriller.

When I started reading this book I was like “I don’t think I can do it” because it was soooo slow paced, seriously, the beginning of this book is just too slow, but since the type of writing is good, since the characters are interesting, I just decided to give it a try after all, and I am pretty happy I did it, cause I ended up giving to this book 4 Stars, more specificaly 5 Stars on GoodReads cause unfortunatelly they still don’t have the half stars so you can rate the books the way you really want to.

This book has a huge twist, I mean, probably not that huge but at least I wasn’t expecting that and I normally know how these books are going to end, so it is a good thing for me that it was actually a surprise, there was suspense in this one, there was some drama of course… it was good overall ! At some point I seriously thought that a certain character was the “bad guy” and the other one was the “good guy”, like from the beginning of the book ok ? I was like “THAT’S THE VILLAIN AND THE OTHER ONE IS JUST GOING TO SUFFER AT THE HANDS OF THIS ONE” … and then, there was a plot twist where I just thought “ok, maybe I was wrong, that one is the villain and the other one is the good one, just forget I said it was the other way around” … and when you are almost finishing the book everything changes again and there was I “I WAS RIGHT ! I WAS RIGHT ! I KNEW IT”… so yes, if you are thinking about reading this book just expect a plot twist… and a slow beginning cause this book is pretty slow when you are just starting it.

I recommend this book to everyone even though some people didn’t like this book or thought it was pretty boring , if you are a fan of thrillers just give it a try !
